Were looking for a talented Web Developer who is update to the latest methods of developing E-commerusing.
- This is an exciting opportunity to help revolutionise the way JavaScript is used one of Europe’s busiest e-Commerce sites, working in a highly skilled, close-knit team. You’ll be expected to mentoring other members of staff, especially in the correct application of Javascript design Patterns.
- The company is passionate about developing systems that are high-speed and scalable, to allow them to deal with over 10 million visitors each month.
- Their Systems are based on Microsoft technology, which includes SQL server, ASP.NET, MVC, Windows Azure, Visual Studio etc.
- Essentially were looking for an experienced web developer who has developed JavaScript for high volume websites. Who can deliver high quality web components.
- Ideal candidates will have worked using an Agile Methodology.
- Ability to write clean, high performance and maintainable script by hand.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate understanding of the following:
- A methods 'arguments' variable and how it can be used to overload functions through arguments.length and make recursive calls through arguments.callee.
- Advanced closures such as self-memorizing functions, currying, and partially applied functions
- Function and html prototyping, the prototype chain, and how to use base JavaScript objects and functions (e.g. Array) to minimize coding
- Object type and the use of instance of and type of
- Regular expressions and expression compiling
- With statements and why you shouldn't use them
Responsibilities
- Delivery of high quality web components in line with business needs and timescales
- Play an active role in the Scrum team, communicating with other team members, the Scrum Master and the Product Owner
- Recommend improvements that can be made to the existing software, the tools and the processes used by the team
