The job of the Digital Marketing Manager is to provide broad support through a diverse online & commercial expertise offering, concentrated toward our client's network of websites. The main audience focus will be the general public, however, a parallel B2B agenda will also need consideration.
Job role and responsibility:
Areas covered within this diverse role include:
- SEM BAU monitoring, control and management, conversions, trends, traffic
- SEM agency contact for all BAU activity and content development
- BAU monitoring of introducers, 9Global, EMME, and advice on best online practice
- Improvement recommendations across all digital platforms through BAU and new analysis.
- Management of test environment, evaluation and release into live of BAU optimisation
- Help co-ordinate the marketing input required to fulfil initiatives (Design and Development sign off process)
- Play a part in inter-departmental collaboration to ensure initiative success
- Support and facilitate projects for strategy and initiative delivery
- Monitor and review KPIs whilst also developing new MI methods (internal/external)
- Play a key role in content optimisation through all online discipline areas (Usability, Functional, Informational, Articles, Blogs, Forums, PR, Research, Email, Newsletters)
- Reporting compilation and development
- Competitor reviews and SWOT analysis
Some travel within the UK may be necessary (particularly London).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education, skills and experience:
- At least three/four years experience within online marketing industry
- Knowledge of SEM, SEO, PPC, the industry and related activities
- Usage and knowledge of online marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Adwords, Adsense, Webmaster, Omniture, Coremetrics, Hitwise, etc
- Understanding and usage of CRM, Database Marketing and CMS solutions
- Proven experience of commercial capabilities and decision making. Business or Commerce development experience would be a distinct advantage
- Affiliate and / or Partner development skills and experience
- Application of measurable and quantifiable analysis skills essential
- Ability to fit and work within a small team whilst having the skill to effectively articulate to senior management
- Strong networking skills both internally and across the SEM industry
- Background or knowledge of effective online content generation
- Organised and structured. Experience in project management would be preferable
- Working knowledge of XML, HTML, Linux & .Net preferable but not essential
