SEO Specialist

Job Description:

The purpose of this role is to grow the Organic Search traffic of the UK, Irish, Finish, Swiss and French Ebookers POS by implementing and contributing to a global SEO strategy.The ideal candidate will have travel sector experience, especially in Hotel and AIR, will understand and be able to supervise the product and technical development of SEO platforms, will have an expert understanding of reporting and be accountable setting up and running ROI positive content, linking campaigns.
In addition the ideal candidate will have experience managing people, ideally remotely, experience managing and being responsible for budgets
The right candidate will have experience with product development and be able to identify, prioritise and negotiate technical improvements focusing on on-site SEO for mega-sites with over a million pages and dozens of languages.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and driven candidate. You must have good written communication skills with experience in all aspects of SEO, you will be required to be autonomous, be responsible for the performance of multiple domains with high SEO revenues and participate in global product development intitiatives
The person must be able to hit the ground running.
Strong HTML skills required
Programming background a plus
We will provide training opportunities for further development but the applicant must be already strong and talented in SEO
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervision and responsibility over multiple domains SEO campaigns
- On-site SEO product development of a global platform and 14 domains
- Manage an SEO development resource in Delhi
- Product and technical management of SEO development for multiple in-house projects
- Implement Orbitz Worldwide SEO strategy to multiple EMEA domains.
- Contribute to Orbitz Worldwide SEO strategy
- On site natural search optimisation of all OWW domains
- Keyword research in managed domains
- Reporting: produce regular progress reports to keep management team updated
- Analyse and report on performance for responsible domains
- Competitor analysis
- Assisting with writing of press releases; optimisation and distribution of these press releases
- Optimising OWW blog platform
CONTEXT / ENVIRONMENT FOR THIS ROLE
- Pan-European on-site SEO specialist will be part of the Ebookers SEO team (5) supporting all Ebookers SEO efforts
- The organisation is constantly changing so the jobholder should be flexible and adapt fast to changes
- Many of the changes necessary for the successful completion of SEO goals are out of the control of the jobholder, therefore they will need to be creative and pro-active in surpassing obstacles, as well as good with communicating barriers and giving feedback to the management and product team.
- The jobholder must be able to deal with a variety of people and issues at different levels within the organisation, requiring excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and to gain trust and respect without direct managerial control.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential Skills &/or Experience
- Top On-page Search engine optimisation experience
- Experience directly running or overseeing link-building campaigns
- Strong HTML skills
- Experience managing people remotely
- Experience managing budgets
- Responsibility over multi-lingual SEO campaigns
- Experience running SEO campaigns for mega-sites with over a million SEO pages.
Desirable Skills &/or Experience
- Experience in managing projects is a plus
- Ability to work unsupervised
- PHP / SQL a plus
- Business English
- Creative thinker with knack for getting things done
- Any innovation / entrepreneurship background

- Growth of natural SEO traffic in Tier 1 Markets: UK, FR, IE, CH, FI
- Global growth of SEO traffic as a result of platform improvement suggestions

- Orbitz Head of SEO (direct manager - based in London)
- Ebookers SEO team (France, UK/IE, Delhi)
- SEO developer (Delhi)
- Ebookers marketing managers (occasionally supporting them with expertise)
- The jobholder may be required to travel occasionally for small periods of time in Europe to work, share knowledge with colleagues or participate in team meetings.
