The Client
Based just outside of Cardiff, our client is a market leader in their industry. Busy, growing & entrepreneurial they have ambitious growth plans for their online function.
Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering SEO activity for a wide array of businesses and websites
- Carrying out keyword research projects
- Turning data gathered into actionable site architecture, content and technical SEO recommendations / updates
- Maintaining awareness of search engine performance, as well as developing alternative traffic sources
- Dreaming up awesome link building ideas, then designing, researching and managing them to fruition
- Reporting campaign performance
- Specifying and managing web development projects, including minor updates and full site rebuilds
Requirements
First and foremost –you will have a genuine passion for online marketing. You will be a student of all things web, constantly broadening your knowledge and as comfortable knee deep in web analytics as with creative copy writing.
- University degree or equivalent
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Minimum 1 year hands-on work experience in search engine optimisation with a track record for successfully improving individual rankings for keywords/phrases and improving overall site traffic
- Deep understanding of search engine technology, functionality, and optimization tactics
- The ability to produce excellent SEO / Online Marketing recommendations based on carefully collected and considered data
- Creative link builder, with plenty of examples of past achievements
- A strong competency or desire to learn Microsoft Excel
- Great with web analytics, Google Analytics Professional Qualification a bonus
- An ability to discuss recommendations and technical platform limitations with developers
- Strong technical aptitude with a good understanding of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, basic web server technology, database software/functionality (ability to write code not necessary
- Productive, able to deliver to a deadline whilst being extremely well organised
